As a recognised chapter society of the International Neuromodulation Society (INS), the Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (NSANZ) has the following purpose and mission:

- To promote knowledge and understanding of neuromodulation
- To promote the safe and professional practice of neuromodulation
- To promote, assist and encourage research into the field of neuromodulation
- To support our members and keep them up to date
